Whether it’s a portable or installed system it is important to choose equipment that will both perform and give the reliabilty needed for gigging artists, or venue operators.

The current sound market is flooded with equipment manufacturered in the far east, some of it is good, some sadly not so good.

For instance some of the cheap power amps do not appear to have enough output drivers to give the stated power over a period of time in a demanding situation resulting in failure and disappointment.


Similarly some of the rather nice looking speaker cabinets on the market that look very similar to other good models can have inferior internal components giving unsatisfactory performance proving the point that in many cases you get what you pay for.
